I am presenting the Annual Budget of Thazhekode Grama Panchayath for the financial year 2026–27. During the first year of our governing committee, new projects have been included in the budget by effectively utilizing the available funds across all sectors, with the aim of increasing the Panchayath’s financial resources. The budget proposals also include measures to periodically renovate and make Panchayath assets more useful, as well as to enhance own-source revenue by scientifically assessing private properties and collecting taxes in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.

Priority has also been given in the budget to the formation of Biodiversity Management Committees in the Panchayath for the protection of our heritage, traditions, and natural resources. Proposals to promote local economic development and entrepreneurship for employment generation have also been incorporated into the budget.

Through the localization of sustainable development, these budget proposals will help address emerging challenges, including climate change.

The budget also envisions creative and welfare-oriented projects to improve the functioning of the Buds School, Anganwadis, and schools. Assuring that the available resources will be utilized in the most transparent and effective manner for public welfare, I hereby submit before the governing committee a well-planned financial budget with an expected revenue of ₹64,54,94,585/-, expenditure of ₹53,16,64,560/-, and a surplus of ₹11,38,30,025/-.
